There is currently a method available which allows you to signup to Apple TV using Amazon India iTunes credit and an iPhone. No VPN required. Cost is £9.32 using a Revolut Fee Free Card will be slightly higher if using a normal Visa etc.
Important notes
Must be a new Apple Account andor has not ever used Apple TV
You can login to Amazon India using your normal Amazon UK credentials
You will need to add a random Indian Address to your Amazon account and set as default only for the purpose of the steps below.
Apple TV is now available on Android also.
You do not require a VPN to obtain this price or to watch on your App TV once setup.
Process does not work via Android AFAIK.
Instructions
1. Create a new Apple Account at accunt.apple.comaccunt or directly with your Apple Device Country UK. Either enter your real information or a random UK address. Once done, signin to your iPhone with this account.
2. Login with your UK Amazon account at the following page amazon.co.ukaases and then add an Indian address to your account and set as default temporarily. address generator. I used the following phone number 1548389891
3. Buy an iTunes gift card worth 1,000 INR via Amazon India. To do so, log in to the following page with your UK Amazon account Amazon India iTunes gift card Sent by email Payment with UK debitcredit card. Note The Indian iTunes credit will only be displayed if you are logged in and your address has been set to India as above. Once order is placed, will take approx. 5 minutes to arrive.
4. Open the App Store and tap your profile picture at the top. Click your name and go to Change countryregion. Select India and enter an Indian address to confirm the change. You can use the same one as what you used via Amazon.
5. Tap your profile picture again and select Redeem gift card or code. Then click You can also enter your code manually. Now enter the 16digit code that you received from Amazon via email.
6. Open the Apple TV app and tap Try free for 7 days followed by the 99 INR for the subscription. Once youve completed that, tap your profile picture at the top. Go to Manage Subscriptions and select See All Plans and select the 999 INR subscription.
