Really nice idea, hopefully we should see more retailer, take on this type of support
Morrisons is launching sensory support boxes in its stores to enhance the shopping experience for autistic and neurodivergent customers. Theyll be in all stores by May.
Developed in partnership with the National Autistic Society, the boxesfunded by the Morrisons Foundationcontain sensory toys like fidget balls, spinners, and squish mats to promote calmness and focus.
By May, these boxes will be available in all Morrisons supermarkets. Customers who wish to use them can request access from a colleague at the customer service kiosk before they begin shopping.
Joseph ClarkBland, Morrisons community manager, said Ensuring all our customers feel welcomed and understood is a priority for us, and were proud to lead the way in creating a more inclusive shopping environment for autistic and neurodivergent people across the UK.
World Autism Acceptance Month has long been important to Morrisons, as shown by the introduction of Quieter Hour in 2018, and were excited to further support our customers with the new Sensory Boxes.
