If you prefer a dive style watch then there is a belter for the same money £202 Seiko 5 Sport Sports Automatic Black Dial Stainless Steel which again has 100m water resistance, so not a true diver for you watch nerds but lets face it, 100m is enough for the pool.
More a Hamilton fans they have some great options on the Murph and the field mechanicals. I just post two white dials as I think white dials are often hard to find and Hamilton do some great ones.
First at a bargain price of about £450 you can get the very good Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical 38mm White Dial Green NATO Strap with 80 hours power reserve from the h50 movement. It does only come with 50m water resistance, if you want more you need to get the automatic which is a few hundred quid more.
The last one to call out from Hamilton is the Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition Automatic 37mm White Dial Brown Leather Strap which I absolutely adore as an alternative in style doesnt have the 24 hour time, so no good if you are actually going splunking of the Rolex explorer 2 white dial. You can also use it as a compass assuming you can see the sun and know if you are in the northern or southern hemisphere. At under £700 this is a great watch, and as its the auto H10 movement you also get the 100m water resistance over the field mechanicals
Finally a bit of a secret star is the Squale
Squale 1521 Classic COSC 42mm Black Dial Stainless Steel Bracelet although you are gonna be dropping around £1300, you get a genuine diver with 500m water resistance so you can outbrag omega seamaster professional dive wearers and the Rolex sub desk divers round the water cooler.
Note for true watch nerds, this is the 1521, not the 1545 which gets some anger as it feels a bit submariner homageee
