Seems like a good deal. No idea what its rangecoverage is like. I wanted an inexpensive access point to wire into existing wifi router for use with my Wifi6 laptops.
If you have BT, Plusnet, Vodafone, Talktalk Full Fibre on Openreach FTTP, or Virgin hybrid cable broadband with VM hub in modem mode, the Xiaomi should be compatible replacement. I dont know if this will work with altnets which use VLAN tagging such as Vodafone City Fibre etc. Not for ADSLVDSL connections.
I think the deal is limited to one per customer at this price, because when I try to order again, the price increases to £30.10 inc. VAT
Chinese language model will need to use google translate or phone app to set it up.
no 6Ghz channel banned in China.
uses 1.1 GHz Qualcomm SoC no idea how it compares to more popular Broadcom and Mediatek.
After reading the description and checking the photos in some customer reviews, it seems to be sold with a US 2 pin style plugin AC power adapter. The detailed description quotes either 100240v or 200240v input rating. The USA uses 110v. China also uses same 2 pin plug and they use 220v. The seller offers optional US to EU travel adapter which is useless for the UK imho.
I ordered a US to UK travel adapter from another seller, costing £1.33 inc VAT.
