Kanosuke distillerys 2023 Limited Edition single malt is a sweet and smoky Japanese whisky that has been aged in a variety of casks, including casks that were previously used to age shochu. The nose is filled with aromas of bananas and custard, vanilla and candy, followed by notes of salted caramel, black tea, wisps of smoke, orange and Yatsuhashi a traditional Japanese sweet made from glutinous rice four, sugar and cinnamon. The finish is long and mellow, with lingering notes of orange, black pepper and smoked nuts.
