After an initial maturation in bourbon casks, the whisky is transferred to Spanish Pedro Ximinez casks for a second period of maturation. This gives the spirit a spicy and sweet kick. Bottled unchillfiltered.
Staff Tasting Notes
Nose Ginger thin biscuits, christmas spices and burnt sugar
Palate Sweet sherry notes, oiliness with a touch of smoke and some orange peel.
Comments Very good. An excellent introduction to Campbeltown.
